Answer: 39

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly let me explain you how to easily understand the procedure

I follow .  Any number let's say 26 can be expressed as 10(20) + 1(6).

Which is the Digit in the tens place is multiplied with 10 and the digit in ones is multiplied with 1 and added up.

Let the give number be XY so it can be written as 10X + Y

And the reverse of it is YX can be written as 10Y + X

The question says that difference YX >XY and YX-XY=54

Here donot confuse think that YX and XY are the same .

            Therefore  10Y + X -10X - Y = 54

                                             9Y- 9X = 54

                                                  Y-X = 6

Also given that sum of the digits is 12

                                                  X+Y= 12

Solving the equations

                   We get X=3 and Y=9

Therfore the original number is 39.
