Let the number be 10x + y as if expressed in terms of tens and unit digits.

In the first equation

x+y=9

Second, (10x+y)9 = 2(10y+x)

8x - y = 0

Therefore, by elimination

x + y = 9

8x - y = 0

________

9x = 9

Hence, x = 1

As, x+y = 9

Therefore, y = 8

The number is 18.
