AnswEr :-

  • The other expression is x² - 4y² + 2xy.

Given :-

  • Sum of two expressions is 3x² + 2xy - y². One of them is 2x² + 3y².

To Find :-

  • The other one.

SoluTion :-

Here,

  • Sum of two expressions is 3x² + 2xy - y².
  • One of them is 2x² + 3y².

Other one :-

sum of two expressions - one of them

→ 3x² + 2xy - y² - (2x² + 3y²)

→ 3x² + 2xy - y² - 2x² - 3y²

[ re arrange the like terms ]

→ 3x² - 2x² - y² - 3y² + 2xy

→ x² - 4y² + 2xy

Hence, the other expression is - 4y² + 2xy.
