GIVEN:

  • The sum of two integer is -16.
  • One integer is 53

TO FIND:

  • What is the other integer ?

SOLUTION:

Let one integer be 'y' and another integer be 'x'

  • y = 53

We have given that, the sum of two integer is -16.

  • One integer + Another integer = Sum of the integers
  • x + y = 16

According to question:-

  • One integer = y = 53
  • Another integer = x
  • Sum of two integers = 16

\sf{\longmapsto x + 53 = -16 }

\sf{\longmapsto x = -16-53 }

\bf{\longmapsto x = -69 }

  • Another integer = x = 69

Hence, the another integer is 69
