let the larger integer be x and smaller be y
now according to the question
=x+y=20.........(equation 2)
=x/y=3.........(equation 1)
=from equation (1) x=3y
putting value of x in equation(2)
3y+y=20
4y=20
y=20/4
y=5
now put the value of y in equation(2)
=x+5=20
=x=20-5
=x=15
