let one integer be x
other integer = 20- x
ATQ
(20-x)/x = -3
20 -x = -3x
3x - x = -20
2x = -20
x = - 10
now larger number = 20-(-10)=20+10= 30
smaller number = -10
other integer = 20- x

Hi there !!
Lets assume that one integer = " x "
Then ,
other integer = 20 - x
= -3
20 - x = -3x
20 = -3x +x
20 = -2x
-2x = 20
x = 20 ÷ -2
x = -10
Larger number = 20 - x
= 20-(-10)
= 20+10
= 30
smaller number = -10
You can work out whether the answer is correct !!
30 + (-10) = 20
Also ,
30 ÷ (-10) = -3
Lets assume that one integer = " x "
Then ,
other integer = 20 - x
= -3
20 - x = -3x
20 = -3x +x
20 = -2x
-2x = 20
x = 20 ÷ -2
x = -10
Larger number = 20 - x
= 20-(-10)
= 20+10
= 30
smaller number = -10
You can work out whether the answer is correct !!
30 + (-10) = 20
Also ,
30 ÷ (-10) = -3
