Given :-

  • The sum of two integers is (-20).
  • One of them is 36.

To Find :-

  • the other integer.

Solution :-

Let the other integer be x.

ATQ,

➸ 36 + x = (-20)

➸ x = (-20) - 36

➸ x = (-56)

Hence, the other integer is (-56).

Verification :-

Substituting x = (-56), we get

➸ 36 + x = (-20)

➸ 36 + (-56) = (-20)

➸ (-20) = (-20)

Hence, verified. ☑️
