Given => Sum = 117
Let the 1st number be x
then the other will be 12x
So , x + 12 x =117
=> 13 x = 117
=> x = 117/13
=> x = 9
Therefore the 1st number is 9 whereas the 2nd number is 12 x = 12 × 9 = 108 .
✓ First number = 9
✓ Second number = 108
