❣ ANSWER ❣

✡ ROCKY HERE ✌

According to the comditions ;

x + y = 110 ----(1)

x - y = 36

x = 36 + y ------(2)

substituting eq ( 2) in eq (1)

36 + y + y = 110

2y = 110 - 36

2y = 74

y = 37 ----(3)

substituting eq (3) in eq (2) .

x = 36 + 37

x = 73

x = 73 and y = 37

Answer:

I think the two numbers are 37 and 73

Step-by-step explanation:

using x and y as substitutes for the two natural numbers:

create a simultaneous equation representing the given data like so>

x+y=110

x-y=36

then choose your focus I choose x so since the signs of x are the same being they are both positive as there is no negative in front of the x I have to subtract the two equations from one another like so >

x-x=0

+y--y= 2y

110-36=74 this makes the equation now look like 2y=74 then we divide by 2 on both sides resulting in y=37 then we use this and substitute y into one of the equations like so:

x + 37 =110

and solve for x by subtracting 37 on both sides making it> x=73

And finally we do a check to make sure the answer is correct by using the second equation x-y=36

like so:     (73)-(37)=36 which works therefore proving the answer is correct
