The sum of two nomber is 11and their product is 24.what is the sum of the reciprocals of these numbers?

Let the numbers be x and y.

Their sum is x + y

==> x + y =11=========================>(1)

Now product = x y

==> x y = 24==========================>(2)

Sum of reciprocal = 1 / x + 1 / y

==> ( x + y ) / x y

==> From (1) and (2) we get:

==>  11 / 24

The answer is 11 / 24
