HI !
let the no:s be "a" and "b"
given,
a + b = 137 ------> (1)
a - b = 43 ----------> (2)
Adding (1) and (2) , we get :-
2a = 180
a = 90
a + b = 137
b = 137 - 90
= 47
The no:s are 90 and 47

Let numbers are x and y,
Their sum = 137
x + y = 137
x = 137 - y
Their difference = 43
x - y = 43
137 - y - y = 43
137 - 43 = 2y
94 = 2y
47 = y
Putting the value of y in ( x - y )
x - 47 = 43
x = 43 + 47
x = 90
Hence, numbers are 90 and 47.
Their sum = 137
x + y = 137
x = 137 - y
Their difference = 43
x - y = 43
137 - y - y = 43
137 - 43 = 2y
94 = 2y
47 = y
Putting the value of y in ( x - y )
x - 47 = 43
x = 43 + 47
x = 90
Hence, numbers are 90 and 47.
