the sum of two number is 25 if thrice the smaller number is subracted from twice larger number the subtracting is also 25 find the numbers.

Answer:

let larger no. is X and smaller is Y

X + Y = 25...(i)

2X - 3Y = 25....(ii)

multiply equation (i) by 2

then

Y = 5

X = 20
