=> X + Y = 43
=> X = 43 - Y _________[Eq(1)]

●Again Question says :-
=> 2X - 3Y = 36 ______[GIVEN]
» From Eq(1)
=> 2(43 - y) - 3y = 36
=> 86 - 2Y - 3Y = 36
=> -5Y = - 50
=> Y = 10

●Plug The value of "Y" in eq(1) . We get :-
=> X = 43 - 10 = 33
