Let the numbers be x and y

x + y = 43

2x - 2y = 36

2(x - y) = 36

x - y = 18

x = y + 18

By substituting the value of x in equation 1 :-

y + 18 + y = 43

2y = 7

y = 3.5

x = 21.5

Hey! Here is your answer!

Let the numbers be x and y

x + y = 43

2x - 2y = 36

2(x - y) = 36

x - y = 18

x = y + 18

By substituting the value of x in equation 1 :-

y + 18 + y = 43

2y = 25

y = 12.5

x = 21.5

Hope this helps! :)
