According to the 1st case :

x + y = 45 .... (1)

According to the 2nd case :

x - y = 45×1/9

=> x - y = 5 ..... (2)

On adding the equation :

2x = 50

=> x = 25

On putting the value of x in equation (1) :

25 + y = 45

=> y = 20

So, the numbers will be 25 and 20
