x+y = 56 eqn (1)

xy = 775 eqn (2)

from eqn (2)

x = 775/y mark as eqn (3) put in eqn (1)

775/y + y = 56

y^2 - 56y + 775=0

y(y-25) - 31(y-25)=0

y=25 or y=31

x=31 or x= 25

the difference between the no 31-25=6
