Required Solution :

Let the ratio of the numbers be 7x & 8x.

According to the Question,

⇒7x + 8x = 90

⇒15x = 90

⇒ x = 90/15

⇒ x = 6

Now, Finding the values of the numbers which were in ratio,

First number⇒7x = 7 × 6

= 42

Second number⇒8x = 8 × 6

= 48

∴ The numbers are 42 & 48 respectively.
