Let the one be x
And other number be y
So, The equation is =>
x + y = 137________(i)
x - y = 43________(ii)
Now,
Add the equation (i) and (ii). We get,
=> (x + y) + (x - y) = 137 + 43
=> x + y + x - y = 180
=> 2x = 180
=> x = 180/2 = 90
Substitute the value of x in equation (i) we get,
=> x + y = 137
=> 90 + y = 137
=> y = 137 - 90 = 47
Hence,
The sum of two numbers 90 and 47 is 137
And Difference between the two numbers 90 and 37 is 43

Let the 1st number be x
Let the 2nd number be x - 43
A/q,
x + x - 43 = 137
2x = 137 + 43
2x = 180
x =
x = 90
1st number => x => 90
2nd number => x - 43 => 90 - 43 => 47
The numbers are 90 and 47
Let the 2nd number be x - 43
A/q,
x + x - 43 = 137
2x = 137 + 43
2x = 180
x =
x = 90
1st number => x => 90
2nd number => x - 43 => 90 - 43 => 47
The numbers are 90 and 47
