so,2nd no.=10-x. ( because2nd no.+x=10)
now x²+(10-x)²=x²+100-20x+x²
=2x²-20x+100
=x²-10x+50
x=0 or x=10
so 1st no. be 0 and 2nd no.=10
so (0)²+(10)²=100>50
from this we get that their squares cannot be less than 50.
