Then , x = 100 - y

x/5 = 2 + y/4

x/5 = (8 + y)/4

4x = 40 + 5y

putting the value of x

4(100-y) = 40 + 5y

400 - 4y = 40 + 5y

400 - 40 = 5y + 4y

360 = 9y

y = 40

x = 100 - 40 = 60

so the number is 40,60 ans....
