X = 1000-Y......(1)
X-Y = 324
Putting the value of X in,
X-Y = 324
1000-Y - Y = 324
-2Y = 324-1000
-2Y = -676

X = 1000-Y = 1000-338 = 662
Therefore,
Numbers are 662 and 338
