Let the given numbers be x and y...

Given:-

y = x - 161_____(1)

y + x = -11______(2)

From equation (1) and (2) we get,

x - 161 + x = -11

2x = -11 + 161

x = $\dfrac{150}{2}$

x = 75

put the value of x in equation (1) we get,

y = 75 - 161

y = -86

So,

the two numbers are

x = 75

y = -86
