The sum of two numbers is 110. One fifth of larger number is 8 more than one ninth of smaller number. Find the numbers

x + y = 110
1/5(x) = 8 +1/9(y)
9x -5y = 360
9x+9y = 990
14y = 630
y = 45
x = 65
