Answer:

let the first number be x and second be y

now,According to question

x+y=15. (equation1)

1/x +1/y=10(equation2)

from equation1. x=15-y

putting the value in equation 2

1/15-y+1/y=10

taking LCM

=y+15-y/(15-y)y

=15/15y-y^2

15/15y-y^2=10

(15y-y^2)10=15

150y-10y^2=15

150y-10y^2-15=0

taking minus common

10y^2-150y+15=0

5(2y^2-30y+3)=0

2y^2-30y+3=0

then solve it by middle term splitting
