Answer: numbers are 88.5 and 111.5

Step-by-step explanation:

let one number be x

so other number will be x+23

x+(x+23)=200

2x+23=200

2x=200-23

x=177/2

x=88.5

other no=88.5+23=111.5

let \: the \: numbers \: are \: x \: and \: y \\  \\ so \: according \: to \: question \:  \\  \\ x + y = 200......(1) \\  \\ but \: given \: that \\  \\ x = y + 23......(2) \\  \\  \\ putting \: the \: value \: of \: x \: from \: equation \: (2) \: in \: equation \: (1) \\  \\ y + 23 + y = 200 \\  \\  =  > 2y = 200 - 23 \\  \\  =  > 2y = 177 \\  \\  =  > y =  \frac{177}{2}  \\  \\  \\ putting \: this \: value \: of \:  y \: in \: equation \: (2) \\  \\ x =  \frac{177}{2}  + 23 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{177 + 46}{2}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{223}{2}  \\  \\  \\  \\ hence \: required \: numbers \: are \:  \:  \frac{177}{2} and \:  \frac{223}{2}
hope it helps.......
