Answer:

8.5=1411

6.5=1079

Step-by-step explanation:

  • add both percentages

        =15 aka 100 (because you added all the haves together)

  • divide number by 15

        = 166 aka one part=1/15

  • multiply number by 8.5

       =1,411

  • subtract 1411 from 2490/ multiply 6.5 by 166

        =1079

hope this helps

Answer:

According to question,

x+y=2490 ------------(i)

⇒ x×6.5/100 = 8.5 /100 ×y

⇒x= 8.5/6.5×y

⇒x= 17/13 y ----------(ii)

Putting (ii) in (i)

17/13 y +y =2490

⇒30y=13×2490

⇒y= 13×2490/30

y=1079

Putting this value in (ii)

x= 17/13 ×1079

⇒x=1411

So the numbers are 1411 & 1079
