Explanation -:
Given ,
The sum of two digit number is 25 and
their difference is 1
To find ,
The two numbers.

Let the two numbers be x and y
According to the question,
Their sum is 25
x + y = 25 ........(1)
Now ,
Their difference is 1,
x - y = 1.............(2)
Then ,
Add equation 1 and equation 2
x + y + x - y = 25 + 1
x + x + y - y = 26
2 x + y- y = 26
2 x = 26
By adding both equations we get ,
2x = 26
Now ,
2x = 26
x = 26/2
x = 13
Therefore,
The first number is x = 13
The second number is =
x + y =25
13 + y = 25
y = 25 -13
Y = 12
Hence ,
The two numbers are 13 and 12.

Let the two number be x and y
the sum of first two numbers is 25
=> x + y = 25 ........eq.. (Ⅰ)
difference is 1
=> x - y = 1 .........eq.. (Ⅱ)
adding equation ( Ⅰ ) and ( Ⅱ )
=> x + x + y - y = 25 + 1
=> 2x = 26
put x = 13 in eq ( Ⅰ ) we get
=> x+y = 25
=> 13 + y = 25
=> y = 25 - 13
=> y = 12
The two numbers are 13 and 12 !
