ANSWER

LET ONE NUMBEE BE X AND OTHER NUMBER BE Y .

ACCORDING TO THE GIVEN CONDITIONS

X + Y = 25

X = 25 - Y -----(1)

X/Y = 4

X = 4Y -----(2)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (1) IN EQ (2)

25 - Y = 4Y

5Y = 25

Y = 5 ------(3)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (3) IN EQ (1)

X = 25 -5

X =20

THEREFORE

X = 20

Y = 5
