Hi

Let the two numbers are x and y

Sum of two numbers = 29

x+y = 29------(1)

x^2 - y^2 =145

(x+y)(x-y)=145

29(x-y)=145

x-y=145/29

x-y=5------(2)

Add (1) and (2)

2x=34

x =34/2

x =17

Substitute x value in (1)

17+y=29

y =29-17

y =12

Difference between two numbers

x-y =5

(x+y)(x-y)=145

29(x-y)=145

x-y=145/29

x-y=5

Add (1) and (2)
