Answer:-

Let the first number be x and second number be x + 14

According to the question,

x + x + 14 = 32

2x + 14 = 32

2x = 32 - 14

2x = 18

x = 9

x + 14

= 9 + 14

= 23

Hence, the numbers are 9 and 23

Answer:

Let the two be a and b.

a + b = 32 ----------(1)

a = b + 14

a - b = 14 --------(2).

On adding eq 1 and 2

we get,

a + b = 32

a - b = 14

2a = 46

a = 23

Now putting value of a in eq1.

a + b = 32

23 + b = 32

b = 32 - 23

b = 9

Hope it helps.
