let one number be x
then, 16016+x+x=345678
2x=345678-16016
x=329662/2
x=164831

Let the number be x
Second number will be x+16,016

Sum of these two numbers = 345678

=> x + x+16016 = 345678
=> 2x + 16016 = 345678
=> 2x= 345678-16016. [Transposition of the numbers]
=> 2x = 329662
=> x= 329662/2
=>x= 164831
