Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numbers be X and Y .

Then,

X + Y = 36 ----- 1

3x - 2y = 8 -----2

According to the question :-

X + 3x = 36 + 8

4x = 44

X = 11

Value of X = 11

Value of Y = 36 - 11 = 25

Checking results :-

3x - 2y = 8

33 - 25 = 8

8 = 8

Hence the required number is 11 and 25 .
