Answer:

Let one number is "x"

So, other number is "39-x"

Given, difference between the two numbers is 15.

So, x-(39-x)=15

I.e., x-39+x=15

2x= 15+39=54

So, x=27

Hence the required numbers are 27 and 12.

Given:-

•Sum of two numbers is 39 and their difference is 15.

To Find:-

•Find the number.

Solution:-

Let consider the first number be x and second number be (39 -x).

According to the question,

 \: \: \sf \: (39 - x) - x = 15 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: 39 - x - x = 15 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: 2x = 39 - 15 = 24 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: x = \frac{24}{2} = 14

Therefore,

  • First number = x = 12
  • Second number = 39 -12 = 27

Hence,the numbers are 12 and 27.
