Solution :

Let the two number be r & m

A/q

\longrightarrow\sf{r+m=4000}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{r=4000-m.......................(1)}

&

\longrightarrow\sf{15\%\:of\:r=25\%\:of\:m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{15}{100}\timesr=\dfrac{25}{100}\times m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{15r}{\cancel{100}} =\dfrac{25m}{\cancel{100}}}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{\cancel{15}r=\cancel{25}m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{3r=5m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{3(4000-m)=5m\:\:[from(1)]}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{12000-3m=5m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{12000=5m+3m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{12000=8m}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{m=\cancel{12000/8}}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{m=1500}

Putting the value of m in equation (1),we get;

\longrightarrow\sf{r=4000-1500}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{r=2500}

Thus;

The number will be 2500 & 1500 .
