x =25/15 (y)

by putting this valuein eq(i):
5/3( y) + y =4000
8/3 (y) = 4000
8y = 4000(3)
8y = 12000
y = 1500
Now by putting this value in eq(ii):
x = 5/3 (1500)
x =7500/3
x= 2500
Hence these are the integers:
x = 2500 and y =1500
