GIVEN :

Let x and y be the two numbers. Consider x is the larger number and y is the smaller number.

CONDITION 1 : Sum of the two numbers is 43.

x + y = 43 ______(1)

CONDITION 2 : The larger number is doubled and the  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀smaller number is tripled.

x => 2x , y => 3y

And the difference of these two number is

36.

2x - 3y = 36 ______(2)

SOLUTION:

Multiply (1) with 2 ,

(1) × 2 => 2x + 2y = 86 ______(3)

(2) => 2x - 3y = 36

Subtract (3) and (2) ,

2x + 2y = 86

2x - 3y = 36

(-) (+) (-)

_________________

5y = 50

y = 50/5

y = 10

Substitute y = 10 in equation (1) ,

(1) => x + (10) = 43

x = 43 - 10

x = 33

Therefore the two numbers are 33 and 10.
