let the one no. be x

and other no. y

hence,

x + y = 43 ------+1)

and , x - y = 13 -----2)

Adding equation 1st and 2nd

x + y = 43
x - y = 13

2x = 56

x = 28

putting the value of x on equation 1st

x + y = 43

28 + y = 43

y = 43 - 28 = 15

x = 28 and y = 15
