Let the 2 numbers= x & y

A.T.Q., x+y=44       & x=2y+2

Putting the value of x: 2y+2+y=44

3y+2=44

3y=42

y=42÷3

y=14

And x=44-14=30

So, x=30 & y=14

\underline\mathfrak\red{Answer :—}

System: x + y = 44; x = 2y + 2

Solve with substitution: x = 30; y = 14

_____________

x + y = 44

x = 2y + 2

Substitute

2y + 2 for x

2y + 2 + y = 44

3y + 2 = 44

.

Subtract 2 on both sides.

3y = 42

y = 14

.

Now substitute back in.

x + 14 = 44

Subtract 14 on both sides.
