10/100 * x = 12.5/100 * (4500 - x)

x/10 = 2.5/20(4500 - x)

x = 25/20(4500 - x)

20x = 25(4500 - x)

20x = 112500 - 25x

20x + 25x = 112500

45x = 112500

x = 112500

x = 2500.

Therefore the 1st number = 2500.

                         2nd number = 4500 - 2500

                                               = 2000.

Verification:

2500 + 2000 = 4500

4500 = 4500
