Answer:

let the two numbers be x and y x+y=50 and x-y=13 =>x=13+y

putting x value in eq 1

13+y+y=50

2y=37

y=37/2

y=18.5

substitute y in eq 2

x=13+y

x=13+18.5

x=31.5

Answer:

let two no be x and y. (x>y)

a.t.q

x+y=50. (i)

x-y=13. (ii)

now substracting (i) from (ii)

x+y=50

x-y=13

2y=37

y=37/2

now putting y value in -(i)

37/2+y=50

y=50-37/2

y=(100-37)/2

y=63/2
