The sum of two numbers is 50. If the larger number is divided by the smaller number

we get 7/11. Find the numbers.

X+Y = 50

X/Y = 7/11

7Y/11. + Y = 50

18Y/ 11 = 50

550= 18Y

30.55= Y

X = 19.45
