Now,
larger is doubled =2y
smaller is tripled=3x
2x-3y=12---eq2




by adding eq1&eq2
x+y=51 -----×3
+2y-3x=12

3x+3y=153
-3x+2y=12

y=33

putting value of y in eq 1
x+y=51
x=51-33
x=18
