let x and y be the two numbers
where,x+y=58 -------(1)
x-y=10 -------(2)
equating(1) and(2)
we get 2x=68
x=34
so y=24
x+y=58; 34+24=58
x-y=10;34-24=10

equating(1) and(2)
we get 2x=68
x=34
so y=24
x+y=58; 34+24=58
