 {\huge {\mathfrak {Answer :-}}}

Let the smaller number be 'x' and the larger number be 'y'.

So, x + y = 60

Or, y = 60 - x.

Again, it is given that,

➡️ 3x + 8 = y

Or, 3x + 8 = 60 - x

Or, 4x = 52

Or, x = 13.

 <b> Hence,

Greater number = 60 - 13 = 47.

Smaller number = 13.

 </b> That's it..

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the smaller number be 'x' and the larger number be 'y'.

So, x + y = 60

Or, y = 60 - x.

Again, it is given that,

➡️ 3x + 8 = y

Or, 3x + 8 = 60 - x

Or, 4x = 52

Or, x = 13.

Hence,

Greater number = 60 - 13 = 47.

Smaller number = 13..
