The sum of two numbers is 63 if one of the number is 27 more than the other then what is sum of the square of the larger of the two numbers

let the no. be X

then the larger one is ( X +27 )

thus,as per the question

X + X + 27 = 63

2X + 27 = 63

2X = 63 -27

2X = 36

X = 36/2

X = 18

one no. = 18

larger no. = X+27

= 18 + 27

= 45

hence, the sum of squares of the digits of no.45is

= ( 4 )*2 + ( 5 )*2

= 16 + 25

= 41
