let one no be x
then another will x-8
therefore;
X+X-8 = 64
2X-8 = 64
2X = 64+8
2X = 72
X = 36
SO THE NO.ARE 36 AND 28
then another will x-8
therefore;
X+X-8 = 64
2X-8 = 64
2X = 64+8
2X = 72
X = 36
SO THE NO.ARE 36 AND 28

Let one no be x and let the other one be y.
According to the question the equation becomes.
x+y=64
x = y-8
Substituting for x in first equation
y-8+y=64
2y-8=64
y-4=32
y=36
x=36-8
= 28
According to the question the equation becomes.
x+y=64
x = y-8
Substituting for x in first equation
y-8+y=64
2y-8=64
y-4=32
y=36
x=36-8
= 28
