Sol:    from equation (1),

                               x+y=67    

                                     x=67-y  

        on putting the value of x in equation (2), we get

                             \frac{67-y}{y} =4\frac{2}{y} \\\frac{67-y}{y} =\frac{4y+2}{y} \\67-y=4y+2\\5y=65\\y=13

          ∴       x=67-13\\x=54

Thus, the numbers are 54 and 13.
