Answer:

Let the first no. be x

and the second no. be y

According to the question

x+y = 69 ( equation 1)

x-y = 39 ( equation 2)

let equation 2

x-y=39

x=39+y

Putting this value into equation 1

39+y+y=69

39+2y = 69

2y = 69-39

2y = 30

y = 15

x= 39+y

x= 39+15

x=54
