Let the numbers be x and y .
According to question,
x+ y = 72
and x = 6+2y
Now substituted the value of X ,
6+2y+y = 72
=>3y= 72-6
=>3y=66
=>y= 22
And
x = 6+2×22
x = 44+6
x= 50
So the two numbers are 22 and 50
