Given :

  • The sum of two numbers is 81.
  • And one of the number is more than the other by 13.

To find :

  • The numbers.

Solution :

Let the first number be x

Then The second will be x + 13

According to Question ,

⟼ x + x + 13 = 81

⟼ 2x = 81 - 13

⟼ 2x = 68

⟼ x = 68/2

⟼ x = 34

Therefore,

  • First number (x) = 34
  • And second number (x +13) = 34 + 13 = 47

___________

Check :

Sum of two numbers = 81

34 + 47 = 81

81 = 81

∴ L.H.S. = R.H.S.

Hence, Checked !!
